Overview
Nubblo Games Ltd. (“Nubblo Games”, “we”, “us” or “our”) develops and publishes mobile games. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
This policy applies to every game we publish, to any support channel we run, and to this website. Some of our games may show an additional in-game notice where local law requires one; where that happens, the in-game notice applies in addition to this policy.
By downloading, launching or continuing to play our games, you confirm that you have read and understood how we handle your information. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using our games.
We have tried to write this in plain language. If anything is unclear, ask us at privacy@nubblogames.com and we will explain it.
1. Information we collect
Most of our games can be played without creating an account. The information we hold depends on which of our games you play and what you choose to do inside them.
Information you give us
- Profile details — the display name, avatar and language preference you pick inside a game.
- Support conversations — your name, email address, player ID, device model and the contents of any message you send us when you ask for help or make a complaint.
- In-game communication — messages, team names and other content you send to other players in games that include chat or clubs, together with the time it was sent.
- Linked platform accounts — if you choose to sign in with a platform account such as an Apple, Google or Facebook login, we receive the identifier and basic profile information that service passes to us. We never receive your password.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and technical data — device model, operating system version, language, screen dimensions, network type, IP address, device identifiers and the advertising identifier supplied by your operating system.
- Approximate location — the country, region or city we infer from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Gameplay data — levels started and completed, scores, progression, session length, in-game currency balances, settings you change, crashes and error reports.
- Purchase records — a transaction identifier, the item bought, the amount, the currency and the time. Payments are handled by the app store you bought through; we never see your full card details.
- Advertising and attribution data — which ads were shown to you, whether you interacted with them, and which campaign or referral brought you to a game. This is also how we detect installation fraud.
- Integrity signals — information that helps us detect cheating, automation, duplicate accounts or abusive behaviour.
2. How we use your information
We only use personal information where we have a lawful basis to do so. The table below sets out what we do and why.
| What we do | Our legal basis |
|---|---|
| Run the game: create your profile, save progress, sync across devices, match you with other players and deliver items you have bought. | Performance of our contract with you. |
| Answer support requests, recover lost accounts and investigate complaints. | Performance of our contract, and our legitimate interest in helping players. |
| Measure how our games are played so we can fix bugs, balance difficulty, improve performance on your device and decide what to build next. | Our legitimate interest in improving our games. |
| Show in-game offers, events and rewards that suit how you play and where you are. | Our legitimate interest in promoting our games, or your consent where required. |
| Show advertising in our free games and measure whether it worked. Personalised advertising is only used where you have consented; otherwise we show contextual ads. | Your consent, or our legitimate interest in funding free games where consent is not required. |
| Detect cheating, fraud and abuse, enforce our terms and defend legal claims. | Our legitimate interest in a fair and safe game, and compliance with legal obligations. |
| Keep financial and tax records for purchases. | Compliance with our legal obligations. |
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed for the purposes above, and only with organisations that are contractually required to protect it.
- Other players — your display name, avatar, progress and anything you post in chat or shared spaces are visible to other people playing the same game.
- Hosting and cloud providers — the infrastructure partners that store game saves, run our servers and back up our databases.
- Support tooling — the helpdesk software we use to receive and answer your messages.
- Analytics and attribution providers — services that help us understand gameplay trends and measure which marketing campaigns work.
- Advertising partners — the ad networks listed in section 8, which receive device and advertising identifiers in order to select and measure ads.
- Payment platforms — the app store that processed your purchase. Their own privacy policy governs what they do with your payment details.
- Professional advisers and authorities — auditors, lawyers, regulators, courts or law enforcement, where we are legally required to disclose information or need to establish or defend legal claims.
- Corporate transactions — if Nubblo Games is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring or insolvency, information may transfer to the party involved, subject to this policy.
4. Where we process it
We are based in Ireland and our main systems are hosted in the European Economic Area. Some of our service providers operate in other countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States.
Where information leaves the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision covering the destination country, or we put standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission in place together with additional safeguards where they are needed. You can ask us for a copy of those safeguards using the contact details in section 10.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you continue to play or use our services, and then for up to three years after your last activity. After that it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
- Support conversations are kept for up to three years after the request is closed.
- Purchase and tax records are kept for as long as accounting law requires, normally six years.
- Records relating to cheating, fraud or bans may be kept longer where we need them to keep enforcing a suspension.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil and several US states — you may have some or all of the following rights.
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and an explanation of how we use it.
- Correction — ask us to fix information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Deletion — ask us to erase your information, unless we are required to keep it.
- Objection — object to processing that relies on our legitimate interests, including profiling for marketing.
- Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a dispute about your data is resolved.
- Portability — receive the information you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing that already took place.
Making a request
Email privacy@nubblogames.com from the address linked to your account, or write to us at the postal address in section 10. Please tell us which game you play and include your in-game player ID so that we can find the right records. We may ask a few questions to confirm your identity before we act, and we will respond within one month.
Everyday controls
- You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings at any time.
- Push notifications can be switched off in your device settings or in the game options.
- Where we ask for advertising consent, you can change your answer from the privacy settings screen inside the game.
7. Children and young players
Our games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where a game is rated for a general audience, we apply extra protections: no personalised advertising, no open chat, and only the data we need to run the game.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us at privacy@nubblogames.com and we will delete it. We encourage families to use the parental controls and purchase restrictions built into iOS and Android.
8. Advertising partners
Our free games are funded by advertising. The partners below may receive your device and advertising identifiers in order to select, deliver and measure ads. Each of them publishes its own privacy policy, which you can find on its website.
We also use the same partners to run install campaigns for our games, which can include audience matching based on hashed identifiers. Where local law requires consent for this, we ask for it before any identifier is shared.
9. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit, access controls limited to the staff who need them, logging of administrative access, and regular reviews of our providers. No system is perfect, so we also keep an incident response plan and will notify you and the relevant regulator if a breach is likely to put you at risk.
10. Contact and complaints
For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact us at:
Email: privacy@nubblogames.com
Post: Nubblo Games Ltd., Data Protection, 12 Harbour Yard, Dublin 2, D02 XY31, Ireland
We would like the chance to put things right first. If you are still unhappy, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Ireland this is the Data Protection Commission; in the United Kingdom it is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our games or the law change. The current version is always published on this page with its date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you inside the game or by email before it takes effect.
Addendum: California privacy rights
This section applies to residents of California and supplements the policy above.
Categories we have collected in the last 12 months
- Identifiers — display name, email address, IP address, device identifiers, advertising identifier, player ID and any linked platform account ID.
- Commercial information — records of in-game purchases and the store account region associated with them.
- Internet activity — gameplay events, feature usage, crash reports and interactions with advertising.
- Geolocation data — approximate location at country or city level, inferred from IP address.
- Inferences — player segments we build to balance difficulty and choose which offers to show.
Sources, purposes and disclosures
We collect this information from your device, from advertising and analytics providers, and from platform accounts you choose to link. We use it for the purposes in section 2, and we disclose it to the categories of recipient in section 3.
Sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. We do share advertising identifiers with the partners in section 8 for targeted advertising, which counts as a “sale” or “share” under California law. You can opt out from the privacy settings screen in any of our games, by limiting ad tracking in your device settings, or by emailing us.
Your California rights
- Know what personal information we collected, where it came from, why we collected it and who we disclosed it to.
- Request a copy of the specific pieces we hold.
- Request deletion or correction of your information.
- Opt out of sharing for targeted advertising.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not degrade your game experience because you asked.
How to exercise them
Email privacy@nubblogames.com with your request. We verify identity by matching the player ID and in-game name you provide against our records. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by a further 45 days, telling you why. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorisation.
Shine the Light and Do Not Track
We do not disclose personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. Because there is no common industry standard for Do Not Track browser signals, our website does not currently respond to them; we do honour the opt-out signals described above.
